Job Opportunity: Restaurant Manager

Location: Saskatoon, SK

Employment Type: Full-time / Part-time

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Position Summary

The Restaurant Manager will oversee daily operations of the restaurant while supporting its mission as a social enterprise focused on newcomer employment and integration. This role combines operational leadership with community-focused mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily restaurant operations, including staffing, scheduling, and customer service
  • Supervise and support staff, including refugee newcomers in training
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and employment standards
  • Oversee inventory, budgeting, and reporting
  • Create a welcoming, inclusive environment for staff and customers
  • Collaborate with organizational leadership to support training and settlement objectives

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Mandatory: Lived experience as a refugee
  • Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality management
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to mentor and support staff from diverse backgrounds
  • Language requirement: English
  • Language assets: French, Kiswahili, or any East African language
  • Africans are strongly encouraged to apply
