Starting up a cooperative is one way to start a business. The Economic Development Advisors (EDA) of the Conseil économique et coopératif de la Saskatchewan (CÉCS) are experts in the field. They can facilitate the start-up of a cooperative or optimize the operations of an existing cooperative.
The EDAs offer the following services, among others:
- Design of a business plan
- Development of member recruitment strategies
- Administrative paperwork
- Training
- Feasibility studies
- Financial research
- Support in the administrative and financial management of a cooperative
